GO BIG!

If you write a book, particularly a Christian book, you probably don't want your first paragraph to end with this sentence...
"So, we tell our story up front so it can be the foundation for your BIG dream." [Go Big (Nashville: Abingdon, 2006), vii.]

There's only one person's story that I will use as a foundation for my life...and I'm sorry to say it's not Bil Cornelius and Bill Easum's:^)

Hey Noah,

This is Brian Peterson. You may remember me from Circ sales at the Des Moines Register. I never knew you went to SBTS and now your ties with 9marks. I've listened to a lot of the audio from 9marks and glean a lot of wisdom from it. If I was Reformed I'd probably like it even more. :)

Anyhow, I'm glad to see that you are following the Lord's call.

Hey Brian...

Yeah I remember you...I think you're married now...right?

I'm curious exactly what you mean by "reformed":)

Nice of you to drop in!

In Christ,
Noah

Hey Noah,

Yes, I got married in 03'. I have two kids now to boot. :)

By "Reformed" I mean the Calvinistic view of soteriology. I know Dever embraces this (although I don't know if he is a five pointer- particularly if he would embrace limited atonement), but not all southern baptists lean so strongly upon this system.

Yet, even Stephen Ashby in "4 views on Eternal Security" makes the case for his position... "Reformed Arminianism". So I guess that calling oneself Reformed does not preclude one from Arminianism.

Reformed theology is mostly associated, however, with the likes of Calvin, Luther, Zwingli, etc.

I'm probably stating things you may already know.

Have you married yet?

Brian
